"LABOR, LAW, UNITY" PARTY NOT TO ALLOW CLASHES BETWEEN GOVERNMENT AND
OPPOSITION FORCES
YEREVAN, APRIL 10. ARMINFO. The Labor, Law, Unity party will not allow
clashes of government and opposition forces, says the leader of the
party Migran Movsisyan. The party hopes for peaceful settlement of the
situation as during the Karabakh war Armenia's president was in a much
more serious situation but won. The party condemns the tough position
of the coalition as it can provoke clashes. On the other hand, the
party is displeased with the opposition's calls for coup. The
president rather than the coalition must negotiate with the
opposition. Movsisyan urges the population not to join government or
opposition forces not to exacerbate the split in society. Movsisyan
condemns speaker of the Armenian parliament Artur Bagdassaryan for
saying that most MPs bought their mandates. A top official must not
say such a thing otherwise he must resign.
