YURI MERZLYAKOV CONSIDERS POSSIBLE THAT UN DRAFT RESOLUTION ON "THE SITUATION
IN OCCUPIED TERRITORIES OF AZERBAIJAN", INITIATED BY BAKU, IS NOT PUT TO VOTE
YEREVAN, DECEMBER 20. ARMINFO. Russian Cochairman of OSCE Minsk Group
Yuri Merzlyakov considers possible that the UN draft resolution on
"the situation in occupied territories of Azerbaijan", initiated by
Baku, is not put to the vote. Russian Cochairman of OSCE Minsk Group
for settlement of the Karabakh conflict Yuri Merzlyakov told ARMINFO.
The Russian cochairman also informed that the next Prague meeting of
the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan is to take place in
mid January of next year. According to him, the cochairmen of the OSCE
Minsk Group will also take part in the meeting. Answering the question
how he estimates the two recent meetings of the foreign ministers of
Armenia and Azerbaijan in Sofia and Brussels, and how he assess the
resumption of the Prague process, the Russian cochairmen expressed
an opinion that the mentioned meetings are not the resumption of the
Prague process. On the whole, the cochairman expressed satisfaction
with the work done. "We are completing this year positively. There
is prospect", he mentioned.
