US CONGRESS COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN TO VISIT NAGORNO KARABAGH
YEREVAN, JULY 22, ARMENPRESS: Bruce Jackson, the chairman of a US
Congress committee on NATO and chairman of Transitional Democracy
think-tank is set to visit Nagorno Karabagh in the near future. Bruce
announced about this during a visit to Tskhinvali, the capital of
Georgia's breakaway region of South Ossetia.
A delegation led by Bruce Jackson, including also representatives
of the German Marshal Fund of the USA, Orion Strategies Center,
Transitional Democracy think-tank and a correspondent of the British
The Economist magazine had already visited the Transdniester region
of Moldova.
One of Jackson's announcements in Tskhinvali that "South Ossetian
leaders are incapable to ensure their people's future,' caused the
discontent of the local authorities.
