Armenian coalition-opposition forces reaches agreement

[Presenter] The Justice bloc and the National Unity Party reached
a joint agreement today. The opposition decided to agree with the
format suggested by the political negotiations which envisages the
oppositions parties and coalition. According to the proposals the
coalition will represent the president (Robert Kocharyan) and the
government. The coalition agreed to discuss the agenda suggested by
the opposition, to find the ways to overcome the political crisis
arisen after the presidential elections in Armenia, in 2003. The
coalition members will discuss the opposition's demand suggestion
made at previous consulting tomorrow at their party sittings.
[Levon Lazarian, a member of the Dashnaktsutyun parliamentary
fraction, captioned] We shall sit at the negotiation's table on 13
May and also invite our colleagues form the Justice bloc and the
National Unity Party. This is our proposal to start the political
negotiations and the opposition accepted this which we are considering
a positive step.
[Viktor Dallakyan, secretary of the opposition's Justice bloc,
captioned] We are announcing that we are agree with that format of
the negotiations which suggested that the coalition will represent
Robert Kocharyan and second, we are suggesting a subject, an agenda for
the negotiations, that is to find the ways to overcome the political
crisis established in Armenia after the 2003 presidential elections.
