ARKADY GHUKASIAN: KARABAKH DETERMINES ARMENIANS' FATE

President of Nagorno Karabakh Republic Arkady Ghukasian said at the
meeting with the Armenian community of Boston on November 13 that
Karabakh determines the fate of all Armenians. "By strengthening
Karabakh's economy we create firm ground for a brighter future for
Armenians of Karabakh, Armenia and of the whole world", Ghukasian said
and called for support in building the North-South highway, the vital
road for Karabakh's prosperity.
"We'll never give up our independence and our objectives. Today
the struggle entered into economic field and we should be winners here
as well in order to keep and to develop our achievements for which we
have paid the highest price - lives of the best sons of our nation",
he said.
Vartan Barseghian, permanent representative of Karabakh in the US, and
Naira Malkumian, president of Hayastan Pan-Armenian Fund, are
accompanying Pres. Ghukasian during his visit.
President's delegation left for America to participate at the November
25 telethon in Los Angeles.
