ARMENIAN AMBASSADOR TO US PARTICIPATES IN CONFERENCE ORGANIZED BY
UNIVERSITY OF STATE OF VIRGINIA
YEREVAN, November 16. /ARKA/. Armenian Ambassador to the USA Arman
Kirakosyan participated in the conference organized by University of
State of Virginia. As Armenian Foreign Ministry Press Service told
ARKA, the conference was devoted to the cooperation by the US with
newly independent states in such spheres as anti-terror struggle,
democracy and economic reforms. In his speech the Armenian diplomat
presented current political and economic situation in Armenia, main
priorities of external policy and modern situation and perspectives
of Armenian-US relations as well as he touched upon the issue of
Armenia's involvement in anti-terror struggle.
As it is mentioned in the repress release, the conference was
attended by Georgian, Kyrgyz and Azerbaijani Ambassadors, as well as
Moldova's Permanent Representative in the UN as well as

INGEOCOM CJSC TO START CONSTRUCTION OF NEW BUILDING FOR ARMENIAN
DEFENSE MINISTRY SOON
YEREVAN, November 16. /ARKA/. INGEOCOM CJSC will start construction
of new building for Armenian Defense Ministry soon, as the CEO of the
company Mikhail Rudyak during his meeting with the Armenian
President, as Armenian president Press Service reports. Also, in his
words, INGEOCOM plans tp participate in construction within Yerevan.
He also added that the company wishes unfold fundamental activity in
Armenia and looks at the perspectives of the cooperation with
optimism, as `Armenia has big quality potential of professionals in
area of construction'.
In his turn Kocharian said that he is satisfied with readiness of the
Union INGEOCOM to start its activity in the country stressing that
Armenia has serious constructional potential in implementation of
which the country is ready to cooperate with experienced partner.
To remind as earlier stated by the Russian mass media one of the
largest investment companies CJSC Union INGEOCOM expressed readiness
to invest in Armenia around USD 150 mln. In the first turn it is
planned to reconstruct the central part of Yerevan and construction
of an important state object with the surface more than 60 thou. sq.
m. for the Armenian Government. During three years there will be
constructed around 300 thou. sq. m. of surface of housing,
multifunctional complexes, offices and hotels. INGEOCIM-Yerevan was
established for the implementation of this project. As per
calculations of the company Armenia will create more than 2 thou.

ARMENIA AND ESTONIA USE THEIR POTENTIAL FOR DEVELOPMENT OF BILATERAL
ECONOMIC TIES UNSATISFACTORILY
YEREVAN, November 16. /ARKA/. Armenia and Estonia use their potential
for development of bilateral economic ties unsatisfactorily, as
Estonian President Arnold Ruutel stated when making his speech in
front of students and lecturers of the Yerevan State University. In
his words, within frames of his current visit certain tendencies of
development of bilateral ties have been concretized, moreover that
there are perspectives in many branches. `relations between our
states and peoples always have been good ones, but not very close,
including economic ones where we have unused potential. He mentioned
that after Estonian business circles visit of Armenia, they can get
acquainted with their Armenian colleagues and to study opportunities
for the real cooperation. `I am confident that our good relations on
the political level and increased contacts created a good background
for deepening of the economic relations', he said.
He also stressed big opportunities for the cooperation in fields of
IT and Estonia is also ready to share its experience in technical

TV MARATHON DEVOTED TO THE COLLECTION OF MONEY FOR NKR TO BE HELD IN
THE USA ON NOV 25
YEREVAN, November 16. /ARKA/. On Nov 25, a TV marathon devoted to the
collection of money for NKR will be held in the USA, according to the
Chief information department adjunct to the NKR President. Starting
from Nov 12, meetings of NKR President Arkadi Ghukasyan confined to
the TV marathon has begun.
On Nov 13 the President visited Harvard University, where he met
students and teachers of some Universities in Boston. Then he visited
the library-museum of America, where he had a meeting with
representatives of Armenian community. Expressing his gratitude to
the community for their support of Artsakh, Ghukasyan appealed to the
people present for them to participate in the marathon and thus
support the construction of North-South highway. `The highway has
important strategic, economic and political value for NKR ', he
stated. During the meeting money for the project of water supply of
the capital was collected.
The same day Ghukasyan met a famous American Sponsor Caroline Mugar
and expressed his gratitude for her support of Artsakh and introduced
her the processes in NKR, putting emphasis on the significant growth
of the economy in NKR. Ghukasyan noted that the country still needs
the support of Diaspora. In her turn Muger said that she would
continue supporting Artsakh and would have her input during the TV
marathon.
During his visit to the USA, the NKR President was accompanied by the
resident representative of NKR in the USA Vardan Barseghyan and the
Executive Director of `Hayastan' All-Armenian Foundation Naira
