The meeting of the Azerbaijani, Turkish and Armenian foreign ministers
scheduled to take place in New York has been postponed, Azerbaijani
Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov has told MPA. Touching on Russian
President Vladimir Putin's proposal to hold a referendum in Azerbaijan
and occupied Nagornyy Karabakh, the minister said that it cannot be
ruled out that it will be discussed at the forthcoming meeting.
Mammadyarov said that Azerbaijan has received an official note from
the Russian Foreign Ministry in connection with entry restrictions on
the two countries' border. The note says that the Russian side intends
to settle the work of checkpoints in this way and prevent suspicious
people from infiltrating into the country.
