Russian defence minister arrives in Tajikistan

Russian Defence Minister Sergey Ivanov has arrived in Dushanbe. The
main purpose of his visit is to attend the Rubezh-2005 joint command
and staff exercises of the Collective Security Treaty Organization
member states [Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan
and Russia].
Ivanov is to meet Tajik President Emomali Rahmonov. During the meeting
they will discuss bilateral cooperation and the process of the command
and staff exercises.
Sergey Ivanov is also to meet Tajik Defence Minister Sherali
Khayrulloyev today.
At the end of the talks, a document on the transfer of the property
of the Okno optoelectronic centre [to Russia] will be signed. [Okno
is located in the town of Norak to the southeast of Dushanbe]
