ARTIFICIAL INSEMINATION OF PIGS TO BE DONE THIS YEAR FOR FIRST TIME
WITH STATE BUDGET RESOURCES
YEREVAN, APRIL 5, NOYAN TAPAN. This year, artificial insemination of
3.3 thousand pigs will be done for the first time with the state budget
resources. According to the head of the Cattle-Breeding Department of
the RA Ministry of Agriculture Levon Minasian, 10 mln drams (about
22 thousand USD) will be allocated for this purpose. Another 21
mln drams will be provided for the artificial inseminatrion of 16
thousand cows, while 10.5 mln drams - for preserving 525 doses of
sperm by means of freezing.
