Belgian MP says int'l pressure appropriate for settling Garabagh conflict

Int'l pressure is appropriate for settling Garabagh conflict, chairman
of the Belgian parliament's House of Representatives Herman De Croo
said in a meeting with media representatives at the Milli Majlis
(parliament) on Thursday.
"If necessary, methods of international pressure should be used
purposefully."
Croo went on to say that Azerbaijan's relations with the European
Union within the "New Neighborhood Policy" Program have intensified,
which may promote resolution of the Garabagh conflict.
Touching upon the democratic processes ongoing in Azerbaijan, Croo said
"press is independent in Azerbaijan," He noted that holding democratic
parliamentary elections in November may play an important role in
Azerbaijan's integration into Europe. The Belgian parliamentarian
added that he will issue a communique on the results of his tour of
the region upon returning home.*
