FM to meet US officials in Washington

Baku, August 1, AssA-Irada -- Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov left
for Washington on Sunday on the invitation of US Secretary of State
Condoleezza Rice.
During the visit to last till Friday, Mammadyarov will hold meetings
with US government officials at the White House and Pentagon to discuss
issues related to economic and political cooperation between Azerbaijan
and the United States, relations with international organizations
and democratization processes in Azerbaijan, Foreign Ministry said.
The Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Upper Garabagh will be in focus
of discussions as well.*
