/PanARMENIAN.Net/ To settle the Karabakh conflict is as impossible as
it is impossible to settle the conflict between Israel and Palestine,
Vice Speaker of the Russian State Duma Vladimir Zhirinovsky
considers. At the same time, according to the LDPR leader, the
Karabakh conflict can be settled if the latter joins the CIS. In his
opinion, neither Armenia nor Azerbaijan will reconcile to the loss of
Nagorno Karabakh. "If Russia insists on Karabakh's joining Armenia,
Azerbaijan will be offended, if she offers to pass NK to Azerbaijan,
Armenians will feel hurt", he stated adding that "Nagorno Karabakh is
a historical territory and part of Armenia and it is called Artsakh".
According to Zhrinovsky, the West today is trying to attach the
so-called Dayton model to the Karabakh problem. "In this situation
Armenians are like Serbs while Azeris are Albanians of Kosovo. The
West wishes to press Armenia and form a big Azerbaijan with 20-million
population," Vladimir Zhirinovsky stated.
