ARMENIA TO PARTICIPATE IN 'MISS INTERCONTINENTAL' CONTEST

"Miss Intercontinental" beauty contest that is usually held in Germany will
be held in China this year on July 30. Karen Aristakesian, chairman of "Miss
Armenia" national agency, stated at the press conference that the contest is
quite a respectable one. Armenia will participate in this contest for the
first time. This year 70 countries will participate in the 37th contest.
Anoush Grigorian, "Miss Armenia 2003" and "Miss Tourism 2003" will represent
    Armenia in China.

Mr. Aristakesian said that three months ago the photos of the young
participants of the contest were posted at www.missintercontinental.com. The
fans of the contestants can vote for them from June 20 till July 29. The aim
of this preliminary contest is to choose the winner of "Best Photo-Model"
    nomination.

The contest will take place on July 30 in China's Wuangshang stadium and
will be broadcasted in Armenia. The contest has the following nominations:
"Best Photo-Model," "Miss Perfection," "Miss Internet," "Miss National
    Dress" and others.

Mr. Aristakesian believes that Anoush Grigorian can be picked among the best
ones. "Armenia is proud to represent Anoush Grigorian to this contest," he
said. Anoush said that according to the photos of the contestants, there are
many beautiful girls. She added that she can give a more objective
evaluation only after seeing them alive.

The Armenian beauty will participate in the contest in the national dress
    made by designer Gevorg Shadoyan.

It's worth mentioning that "Miss Top Model 2005" and "Miss Universe" contest
will be held in China by the end of 2005.
