NEW YORK-BASED 'SHUSHI' DANCE GROUP TO PERFORM IN ARMENIA
In 1960-70 Sargis and Seda Paskalians were the dance stars of the
Lebanese-Armenian community. They were members of Tekeyan Cultural
Union and played a great part in creating "Andranik" Vocal and Dance
Ensemble. As a result of the civil war in Lebanon, the Paskalians
moved to the U.S. and continued working in New Jersey. It has been
already 12 years that Seda Paskalian leads "Shushi" dance
ensemble. The ensemble is sponsored by Archbishop Khazhak Parsamian
and is a prominent center for preserving the Armenia culture in
Diaspora. The dance ensemble consisting of young amateur dancers has
already given over 1600 concerts.
On July 14, Shushi" dance ensemble will give a concert at the Yerevan
Gabriel Sundukian Academic Theatre.
