TURKISH PRIME MINISTER CONSIDERS GENOCIDE RECOGNITION TO BE A
SECONDARY ISSUE
In his speech in San Francisco, Turkish prime minister Recep Tayyip
Erdogan said that "Armenia should withdraw its forces from the
occupied territories of Nagorno Karabakh and hand them over to
Azerbaijan". He noted that the fact that various parliaments of the
world have recognized the Armenian Genocide does not solve issues in
Armenian-Turkish relations. He called Armenian government not to use
the historic past of two neighbors for seeding hostility, as there are
more important issues that need to be settled in the first place.
