PM rejects claims that grenade was made in Armenia
Prime Minister of Armenia Andranik Markaryan refuted reports that the
grenade RGD-5 thrown in Tbilisi Freedom Square on May 10 when George
Bush was speaking had been produced in Armenia.
"Why Armenia? China maybe?" Markaryan told Georgian journalists in
Borjomi where he arrived together with the prime minister of Georgia.
He added that the suspect in the case, Vladimir Arutunian who has an
Armenian surname, is a citizen of Georgia.
"It has nothing in common with either Armenia, or Armenians. He is a
citizen of Georgia," the prime minister said.
