ARMENIA- ONLY CIS STATE WITH `PARTLY FREE ECONOMY'

Annual Report issued by Heritage and Wall Street Journal Armenia
(42-nd position) is the only CIS member-state that was included in
the list of the countries with `partly free economy'. As compared to
last year the index of Georgia lowered with 0.15 scores and made
3.24. Thus occupying the 100-th position Georgia is among the states
with `mostly not free economy'. Azerbaijan shares the 103-rd position
with Chad and Egypt. According to the report, the situation in Turkey
is worse. It occupies the 112-th position. Russia is the 124-th. The
US and Switzerland are the 12-th and the 13-th respectively. The
economy of Hong Kong was rated as freest, RFE/RL reports.
