ARMENIA-SYRIA TRADE RELATIONS LEAVE MUCH TO BE DESIRED

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Today Armenian Prime Minister Andranik Margaryan
met with Syrian charge d'affaires in Armenia Mukhils Faraun, RA
government's press service reported. During the meeting the Armenian
Premier congratulated the diplomat with the mission, expressed hope
that the Armenian-Syrian relations will develop dynamically and
highlighted the development of economic relations, which in his
words, cannot be rated as satisfactory to date, partly over the
blockade imposed on Armenia by Turkey and unfavorable conditions for
overland transportation. However, the Armenian and Syrian governments
are willing to launch mutually beneficial business. Andranik
Margaryan said he hopes that the work of the Armenian-Syrian
intergovernmental commission as well as Syrian Prime Minister's
upcoming visit to Armenia will promote solution of these problems.
Upon completion of the meeting the RA Premier expressed readiness to
render the support essential for the performing of the mission.
