PROJECT TO HELP SMOOTH INTEGRATION OF ARMENIAN YOUTHS OF GEORGIA

AKHALKALAKI, JUNE 1, ARMENPRESS: Some 1,700 16-20 year-old young men
and women from Georgia's predominantly Armenian populated region of
Javakheti will communicate with their peers from western Georgia in
Georgia's Bakuriani resort area beginning from June.
The jamboree is part of a program, suggested and sponsored by Georgian
president Mikhail Saakashvili, to help ethnic Armenian youths'
smooth integration into the Georgian society. In a related news from
the region, A-Info news agency said the OSCE office in Georgia is
supporting Georgian authorities to carry out in the region a program
aimed at teaching Georgian to national minorities. As part of this
program 20 teachers of Georgian will be prepared who in turn will
train other teachers.
