ARF MEMBER, MP CANDIDATE PAVEL MANUKIAN BEATEN IN STEPANAKERT
STEPANAKERT, JUNE 21, NOYAN TAPAN. On June 21, ARF Dashnaktsutiun
member Pavel Manukian was beaten in Stepanakert. He takes up the 12th
place in the proportional list of ARF Movement-88 pre-election
bloc. As Noyan Tapan's correspondent informed, Manukian who was taken
to Stepanakert military hospital is uninterruptedly fainting, he has
bruises in the right part of his head and it's supposed that he has
got a concussion of the brain. There are nearly 100 policemen in front
of the military hospital and it's prohibited to see the patient.
According to eye-witnesses, nearly an hour before the incident Pavel
Manukian was seated in a military car in the central square of the
town and taken somewhere. In the future he was taken to hospital by a
military car, too. According to some information, at the moments when
Manukian was periodically regaining consciousness he mentioned the
names of NKR Defence Minister and Deputy Minister. To recap, Pavel
Manukian is a freedom-fighter, he was awarded the "Combat Cross"
order.
