ARMENIAN PM VISIT TO BELARUS OVER

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ On the last day of the official visit of the
Armenian governmental delegation to Belarus Armenian Prime Minister
Andranik Margarian met with representatives of the Armenian community,
reported the Press Service of the Government of Armenia. Chairman of
Hayastan cultural and elucidative organization Georgi Yeghiazarian
noted that Armenian community members do their best to preserve the
national spirit, as well as to raise the new generation in a genuinely
Armenian manner. In the words of Armenian community representatives,
in Minsk there is an Armenian elementary school, Erebuni song and dance
ensemble that has won the first place at the festival of the national
minorities of Belarus, as well as many other organizations. Andranik
Margarian said he was satisfied with representatives of the Armenian
community members demonstrating themselves not only as genuine Belarus
citizens and taking active part in the economic and cultural life,
but also being able to preserve their national dignity and making
efforts to develop the Armenian-Belarus relations. He also appreciated
the holding of events marking the 90-th anniversary of the Armenian
Genocide in Belarus. At the instance of the community representatives
Mr. Margarian presented the current record of the Armenian-Turkish
relations, as well as the process of international recognition
of the Armenian Genocide. A. Margarian visited Khatin Memorial,
commemorating the victims of World War II. The Armenian delegation
headed by him will return to Yerevan this evening.
