Today Pavel Ghaltaghchyan, deputy head of the Economical Competition
Defense Committee held a press conference to inform that part of the
dairy and meat market has bee investigated and monopolies have been
revealed, plus 8 companies producing dairy and meat products have
been punished.
The deputy head of the Committee announced proudly that 3 companies
importing liquid gas have also been punished. By the request of
several journalists Pavel Ghaltaghchyan represented the names of the
punished companies. All of them were from the Syunik region who earned
their daily bread with this business. Artavazd Tanganyan and Hovik
Martirosyan were individual businessmen, and the other was an LTD
the name of the head of which was not famous either - Ashot Aghajanyan.
Interesting are the names of the monopolies producing ice-cream and
sour-cream. "Ashtarak-Kat" has 40.2% of the market, and "Shant+"
has more than 1/3 of it.
Pavel Ghaltaghchyan also announced proudly that henceforth the
punishments for the violators of the economic competition will
be heavier.
