INTERNATIONAL ECUMENICAL GUESTS VISIT ANTELIAS
International ecumenical guests visited the Catholicosate of Cilicia in
Antelias on May 18 and 19. Bishop Kegham Khatcherian, primate of the Diocese
of Lebanon, welcomed the guests on behalf of His Holiness Aram I.
The first visitors were 15 Lutherans from Germany, accompanied by the
spiritual leader of the German-speaking evangelical church of Beirut. The
second group of visitors was the 40 spiritual leaders of the international
"True Life in God" union.
The guests visited the St. Gregory the Illuminator Cathedral, the monument
of the Armenian Genocide and the "Cilicia" museum.
Bishop Khatcherian conveyed His Holiness' greetings to the guests and
informed them about the different fields in which the Catholicosate of
Cilicia works and concentrating on its contribution to spiritual, ecumenical
and inter-faith activities.
The guests, who were well-informed about the Armenian Genocide, made
statements in favor of a just resolution of the Armenian Cause upon visiting
the museum and the monument.
