NUMBER OF EVENTS TO BE HELD BY FOUR STAGES IN LOS ANGELES ON OCCASION
OF 1600TH ANNIVERSARY OF INVENTION OF ARMENIAN LETTERS
LOS ANGELES, MAY 26, NOYAN TAPAN. Within the framework of All-Armenian
events dedicated to the 1600th anniversary of the invention of the
Armenian letters, the East American Regional Department of the
Armenain National Education and Culture Union envisaged a wide number
of events to be held in Los Angeles during the year of 2005 under the
patronage and with the assistance of the RA General Consul to Los
Angeles. Particularly, as Noyan Tapan was informed from the RA Foreign
Ministry'so Press and Information Department, competitions of painting
and compositions are envisaged to be held in all Armenian every day
colleges of California on coming October 24-28. Conditions and order
of holding the competitions are already made distinct. An
exhibition-competition of 18-35 years old young artists' works will be
held during June-July. A scientific bilingual seminar on the theme
"Linquistics, Haven Development of Armenian Letters." Specialists,
students, teachers of the Armenian Studies of different Universities
will be invited to the seminar. On October 2, a great public ceremony
will take place in the Glendale "Alex" Theater Hall to which
representatives of the local governance bodies, heads of diplomatic
representations of other countries in California, cultural workers,
etc. Bilingual reports as well as an Armenian cultural and feature
program concerning the Armenian letters and the Armenian Studies are
envasiged during the event.
