AZERBAIJAN WELCOMES JOINING OF NEWS STATES INTO GUAM BUT ARMENIA

The 2nd session of the Parliamentary Assembly of GUAM organization
ended in Yalta, Ukraine. Murtuz Alasgarov, chairman of the Milli
Majlis said in his interview with ANS TV upon his arrival from Yalta
that Azerbaijan was charged to lead trade and economic commission of
the GUAM PA. Mr. Alasgarov said the Daqliq Qarabaq conflict was also
in the agenda during the session. We share common problems, which are
regional conflicts- Daqliq Qarabaq of Azerbaijan, Transdnestrian of
Moldova, Abkhazian and Ossetian conflicts of Georgia, Murtuz Alasgarov
said. Speaking on Vladimir Litvin's statement on Black Sea and Caspian
Sea basin states as well as Russia, Kazakhstan and Turkey to GUAM
organization Murtuz Alasgarov said GUAM was progressive institution
joining of not only European states but also representatives of Central
Asia could be a estimable. Commenting on Armenia's opportunities to
become GUAM member state Milli Majlis speaker said "If "When Armenia
becomes GUAM state we will do everything to pull this nation out from
the organization as we do within activity in the Council of Europe
and OSCE".
