Visit
Armenian defense minister Serge Sargsian told his Latvian counterpart
during his working visit to Latvia that Armenia's armed forces do
not match the NATO standards perhaps because of lack of finances but
getting higher to NATO standards is Armenia's goal. Sargsian stated
that Armenia plans to reform its army by the year of 2015. Latvian
prime minister Aigars Kalvitis expressed readiness to assist Armenia
in developing closer ties with NATO, press release of Armenian Foreign
Affairs Ministry informs.
