ARMENIA IS THE 83RD AMONGST 182 COUNTRIES ON LEVEL OF LIFE DEVELOPMENT
YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 7. ARMINFO. Armenia is the 83rd amongst 182
countries on the level of life development, passing ahead of
neighboring Azerbaijan and Georgia (101st and 100th respectively),
prove the data of the 2005 annual report on human development published
by the UN.
According to the document, in 2005 lifetime of Armenia's citizen
was higher than of Azeri and Georgia's citizens. Average lifetime
in Armenia totaled 71 years, in Azerbaijan - about 67 years, and
in Georgia - 70 years. Armenia passes ahead of its neighbors in
literacy level, too. GDP index per capita in Armenia totals $3.700,
in Georgia $2.600.
Norway is the first in the UN report (with about $38.000 GDP). The
lowest level of life development was noted in African and post-soviet
countries.
