KARABAKH OFFERS MAMEDYAROV NK CITIZENSHIP TO NEGOTIATE WITH HIM

Karabakh conflict regulation talks steadily proceed, NK prime
minister Anushavan Danielian told journalists in Yerevan. He thinks
that Karabakh issue is a complicated one and cannot be settled at one
stroke, and the present tension does not mean that the issue will be
settled in 2006.
According to NK prime minister, Nagorno Karabakh regulation can become
a model for other persisting conflicts. Dubbing usual the numerous
cases of break of ceasefire, PM Danielian touched on the recent
statement of Azerbaijani foreign minister Elmar Mamedyarov according
to which Azerbaijan will negotiate with Nagorno Karabakh directly if
the people of Karabakh accept Azerbaijani citizenship. Danielian on
his part stated that Karabakh will talk to Mamedyarov if the latter
accepts citizenship of Karabakh as a representative of the Azeri
community of Nagorno Karabakh.
