ARMENIAN GOVERNMENT DISCUSSES ISSUE OF RENDERING ASSISTANCE TO IRAN IN CONNECTION WITH DESTRUCTIVE EARTHQUAKE

YEREVAN, APRIL 3, NOYAN TAPAN - ARMENIANS TODAY. RA Government is
discussing the issue of rendering necessary assistance to Iran in
connection with the destructive earthquake that took place in the
territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI) on March 31. As
Noyan Tapan was informed from RA Government Information and Public
Relations Department, on April 2, by the instruction of RA Prime
Minister Andranik Margarian, RA Minister of Territorial Government
Hovik Abrahamian, presenting his and Andranik Margarian's condolences
to IRI Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia Alireza
Haghighian, at the same time asked him to clarify, what assistance Iran
needs, in accordance with which RA government will render assistance
within the limits of its abilities. There are numerous victims,
injured people, destructions in consequence of the earthquake in the
Iranian province of Lorestan.
