Participants of the Fine arts and cinema showed their works
On March 28, young artists who have passed to the second stage of the
contest for the Presidential Youth Prize exhibited their works at the
Center of Contemporary Experimental Art the candidates. 24 works were
presented. An open show was organized where the film makers and
designers showed their works to the public. Young authors in fine arts
category presented their works in painting, sculpture, graphic arts,
tapestry, ceramics, photo art. The well-known cinematographer and
representative of the `Robert Boghossian and Sons' Fund Albert
Yavuryan mentioned that he highly appreciates the aspiration of the
young artists to say an innovative word in the art but he thinks that
they have to work much to improve their technical skills. Karen
Aghamyan, Chairman of the Painters' Union expressed gratitude to the
`Hayastan' Fund for the successful organizational work.
Currently, the commission is discussing the results and very soon the
names of the winners will be announced. In the nomination of the Fine
arts and cinema 3 prizes will be awarded, each of 2,5 thousand USD.
