ARMENIAN-KARABAKHI DEBATES ON KARABAKH ISSUE

On April 21 a hearing of the prospects of settlement of the Karabakh
issue will take place in Stepanakert. The settlement of the conflict
over Karabakh will be discussed for the first time at the NKR National
Assembly in the past 10 years. So far this topic has been a kind of
taboo. It is assumed that only the government of Armenia is aware of
and can attend to this issue, and "informs" the president of Karabakh
about some circumstances.
The delegation of the Republic of Armenia, headed by the chairman
of the Committee of External Relations, will be invited to the
parliamentary hearing on April 21.
Besides, the meeting of the Karabakh-Armenia parliamentary commission
is scheduled on April 26. The delegation of the National Assembly
of Armenia, headed by Deputy Speaker Tigran Torosyan, will arrive
in Stepanakert.
