ONE OF KINDERGARTENS OF TOWN OF TOUMANIAN NAMED AFTER EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF
UN WORLD FOOD PROGRAM
TOUMANIAN, AUGUST 4, NOYAN TAPAN. Former No2 kindergarten of the town
of Toumanian of the marz of Lori will from now be named after Mr. and
Mrs Morrises.
James T.Morris, the Executive Director of the World Food Program
of the United Nations organization who was on a visit in Armenia
also participated in the ceremony of putting into operation
and naming of the kindergarten taken place on August 1 after its
contsruction-restoration. The construction-restoration works of the
kindergarten were implemented within the framework of the "Food For
Work" program. 65 people from needy unemployed families were involved
in works lasted for two and a half of months. For implementation of
works the community of the town of Toumanian allocated 3 mln drams
(about 7 thousand US dollars), the World Food Program allocated 5
thousand US dollars. J.Morris mentioned that it is envisaged to build
soon a nice park with its playground in the yard of the kindergarten.
