AZERI CLERICAL LEADER TO ANNOUNCE JIHAD IN KARABAKH "WHEN IT IS TIME" - AGENCY

Baku, 23 August: "I am ready to announce a jihad to liberate the
occupied Azerbaijani territories when it is time," the chairman of the
Spiritual Board of the Muslims of the Caucasus, Allahsukur Pasazada,
told journalists on 23 August in Baku.
"I think this time will come, but the potential for peace talks has
not been exhausted yet," he said.
Pasazada noted that Nagornyy Karabakh occupies a key place in all
of his meetings with officials of different countries, as well as
prominent religious figures. Most of them fully support our right
cause and are ready to help Azerbaijan resolve the conflict, he said.
