PUBLIC HEARINGS FOR NATIONAL ANTHEM OF ARMENIA NOT ORGANIZED
The Armenian chamber and philharmonic band prepares the songs
chosen as the first 5 choices for the national anthem of Armenia,
Gayane Durgaryan, press service head of ministry of culture and youth
affairs told Panorama.am. The authors of the selected songs are Tigran
Mansuryan, Yervand Yerznkyan, Edgar Hovhannisyan, Aram Khachatryan
and Robert Amirkhanyan.
When the songs are ready, they will be presented for public
judgment. According to initial decision, the hearings must be
conducted late August. Today is August 25 but the songs are not
ready yet. It is also not clear what funds will be used to organize
the hearings. Most probably, the competition committee will reach a
cabinet decision. /Panorama.am/
