PRESIDENT KOCHARYAN RECEIVED THE HEAD OF THE EUROPEAN DELEGATION IN ARMENIA

President Robert Kocharyan received today the newly appointed Head of the
European Commission Delegation in Armenia, Ambassador Per Eklund. The President
congratulated the diplomat and underlined that connected with the
ratification of the Action Plan EU- Armenia relations have entered an important
practical phase.
Noting that the Action Plan is an all-embracing document, Robert Kocharyan
said that the Armenian side anticipates the assistance of the European
Commission, as well as active work with EU member states. "We view the program as a
serious opportunity to continue the systematized reforms and we'll try to
make best use of it," the President stated.
The parties agreed that the Action Plan will serve as a good basis for
further deepening of EU -Armenian relations during the coming five years.
