ARMENIAN COMMUNIST PARTY LEADER CONDEMNS NA VICE-SPEAKER'S ACT

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 14, NOYAN TAPAN. Instead of touching upon
country's serious problems and proposing ways of their solution or
commenting upon his own party's disgraceful actions, RA National
Assembly Vice-Speaker, ARFD Bureau member, Vahan Hovhannisian
prefers to make unworthy statements addressed to the symbols of
another political organizations. Ruben Tovmasian, First Secretary of
Central Committee of the Communist Party of Armenia, said this in
his December 14 interview to Noyan Tapan correspondent, commenting
upon V.Hovhannisian's statement made the day before when he said that
V.Lenin was a "unique scum" and a "murderer." R.Tovmasian considers
it inadmissible that "a person with higher education, holding a high
state post makes such a cynical statement."
In his words, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Armenia
is going to publicize a statement condemning V.Hovhannian's act.
