MOTHER OF GERARD SEFILIAN TAKEN TO HOSPITAL

On December 17 the mother of Gerard Sefilian, 70 year-old Sima
Taslaqian was taken to hospital.
"Protection of the Liberated Territories" Initiative informs the mass
media that Mrs. Taslaqian was about to have a heart attack, what was
naturally caused by the detention of her son. Having serious problems
with her heart, Mrs. Taslaqian was operated on a few years ago,
but new there is no need for a second operation, the physicians say.
Supporters of Sefilian Not Likely to be Given Permission for a
Demonstration
On December 18 three supporters of Gerard Sefilian, as citizens of the
Republic of Armenia, addressed to the City Administration of Yerevan
asking a permission for a peace demonstration of support to their
detained companion. According to the law, the City Administration
is to have held a meeting and given a certain answer by 12:00 AM,
December 18. Nevertheless, none of the three applicants has received
any notification.
