AZERBAIJAN AND USA INTEND TO EXTEND COOPERATION IN ALL SPHERES

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mamedyarov received a delegation
led by US Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights
and Labor Barry Lowenkron, press office of the ministry informed.
Barry Lowenkron stressed that further extension of the current
cooperation between Azerbaijan and the USA in political, economic,
education and security spheres plays a very important role for both
countries. He noted that the US government supports the policy pursued
by Azerbaijan and is a proponent of mutual exchange of experience
and further in order to achieve better results.
Elmar Mamedyarov said that along with integration into European and
Euro-Atlantic institutions further extension of relations between
Azerbaijan and the United States in political, economic spheres,
as well as practice of mutual exchange in education correspond with
national interests of both countries.
Mamedyarov also noted that development of democratization, civil
society and human rights protection in Azerbaijan deteriorated because
of the policy pursued by Armenia. He said that Armenia's predatory
policy puts obstacles on development of democracy in the region,
restoration of security and sustainable peace.
