EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus Peter Semneby will
again visit Baku next month, Peter Semneby told the APA exclusively
from Brussels.
He said that his next visit to Azerbaijan will be realized within
the tour to the South Caucasus. EU representative intends to leave
Baku for Yerevan and then the occupied Azerbaijani territories.
"The aim of my visit to Azerbaijan and Armenia is to support the
initiatives on the settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict. The
European Union supports the development of the process of settlement
and is interested in the quickening of this process," he said.
Peter Semneby said his visit to Nagorno Karabakh does not mean the
recognition of the so-called state, functioning in the occupied
Azerbaijani territories.
"The EU does not recognize and will not recognize Nagorno Karabakh
Republic functioning in the conflicting zone. But anyway we should
hold negotiations with both parties.
