A GROUP OF JOURNALISTS VISITS FRONTLINE

A group of journalists on the initiative of "Army friends" Press
Club visited the frontline in the direction of Tartar-Aghdam-Aghdere,
APA reports.
They met with the commander of the military unit N, major-general
Nizam Osmanov. He said that the articles about the army published in
some newspapers are groundless. Then the journalists visited trenches
in order to get acquainted with the situation in the units. First
they were shown topographical map of the territory, informed about
the position of the posts and given instructions to ensure their
security. The journalists got acquainted with the living conditions
of the soldiers. The soldiers said that material-technical supply is
very high and noted that to protect the motherland is very honorable.
Having dinner together with the soldiers the journalists observed
the enemy's trenches in the occupied Azerbaijani territories. The
unit commander, Captain Anar Tarverdiyev told the journalists that
there is soldier and officer shortage in the Armenian Armed Forces.
Therefore the enemy only uses patrol service.
"The soldiers of the Azerbaijani Army keep the enemy under observation
in all directions," he said.
At the end of the visit the commander of the military unit awarded
the journalists honorary diplomas for their merits in increasing the
soldiers' patriotic spirit.
No incident happened during the visit and the journalists' security
was ensured.
