'ARMECONOMBANK' TO RECEIVE $2 MILLION FROM EUROBANK FOR MORTGAGE CREDITING

EBRD will grant Armeconombank $2 million, which is to be invested
into the development of the mortgage crediting market of Armenia. The
corresponding agreement was signed yesterday by David Suqiasian,
director executive of Armeconombank, and EBRD representative Alexander
Pavlov. The credit is granted for a term of 10 years and interest
rate of 12%.
Armeconombank director executive informed the reporters that at
present the volume of the bank's mortgage credits has equaled $6
million, which is thrice more than in the beginning of the year. It
is planned that the maximal volume of the bank's mortgage credit will
be $50 thousand. David Suqiasian also reported that Armeconombank
is undergoing certain risks connected with the growth of AMD/USD
exchange rate.
