AZERBAIJANI SOLDIER SURRENDERED TO ARMENIAN ARMY

Colonel Seiran Shakhsuvaryan, press secretary of the Armenian Defense
Minister, reported that an Azerbaijani soldier surrendered to the
Armenian party. According to Shakhsuvaryan, this happened on Sunday
around 2:10 pm. Samid Nazimoglu Mamedov, born in 1987, serviceman
of the army of Azerbaijan, came to positions of the military unit
of Idzhevan and surrendered. The soldier was without weapons and
ammunition. He explained his action by systematic hazing and beating on
the part of fellow-soldiers. Mamedov served for a year already by the
moment of surrendering. Last Saturday, on December 23, the Armenian
party returned another soldier of Azerbaijani army Vusal Garachaev,
who according to it surrendered voluntarily too.
