ARMENIAN GOVERNMENT MAKES AMENDMENT IN DECISION ON MEASURES TO MITIGATE NATURAL GAS TARIFF

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 28, NOYAN TAPAN. At the December 28 sitting, the RA
government made an amendment in the April 6, 2006 Decision No 449-n
on Measures to Mitigate State Property Alienation and Natural Gas
Tariff. According to the RA Government Information and PR Department,
the amendment is conditioned by the fact that the November 29, 2006
decision No 298-n of the RA Public Services Regulatory Commission sets
new tariffs of natural gas sold by ArmRusgazprom CJSC to consumers
starting from January 1, 2007. By the decision, henceforth consumers
will pay 84 thousand drams (including VAT) instead of 90 thousand drams
for 1,000 cubic meters in case of consuming up to 10,000 cubic meters
per month, while in case of consuming 10,000 cubic meters and over
per month consumers will pay a sum in drams equivalent to 153.26 USD
(including VAT) instead of 146.51 USD for 1,000 cubic meters.
