    ARMENIA FIXES PERCEPTIBLE PROGRESS IN ANTI-CORRUPTION STRUGGLE


    YEREVAN, DECEMBER 29, NOYAN TAPAN. Estimations on the process of
    implementation of the guarantees given by the Organization for
    Economic Cooperation and Development (OEDC), issues relating to
    changes in the regulations of the monitoring commission on
    implementation of the anti-corruption strategy and the issue of the
    staff of the monioring commission implementing the anti-corruption
    strategy as a result of changes of NGO representatives being appointed
    by the rotation order were discussed at the December 27 sitting of the
    RA Council on Anti-Corruption Struggle taken place at the RA
    Government, which was led by Council Chairman, RA Prime Minister
    Andranik Margarian. Noyan Tapan was informed about it by the RA
    Government's Information and Public Relations Department. Monitoring
    commission chairman Gevorg Mherian reported that the national report
    of the anti-corruption net of Armenia consists of 3 departments. The
    national policy and institutes on the anti-corruption struggle are
    presented in the first department, the second part is dedicated to the
    legislation and criminalization of corruption, systems of transparence
    and financial control of the state service are characterized in the
    third part. Guarantees which involve proposals, spheres of
    legislative, legal, management. state service, financial control,
    were separated according to the mentioned departments. In the
    reporter's words, it was mentioned at the plenary sitting of the OECD
    that Armenia fixed a considerable progress in the issue of legislative
    (legal) and institutional reforms of the anti-corruption struggle.
