VIKTOR SOGHOMONIAN: NO MEETING OF KOCHARIAN SCHEDULED FOR JULY 17 AT LEAST FOR PRESENT

YEREVAN, JULY 3, NOYAN TAPAN - ARMENIANS TODAY. No meeting of Robert
Kocharian has been scheduled for July 17 at least for the present. This
was said by Viktor Soghomonian, Spokesperson for RA President, who, in
response to the question of radio Liberty, commented upon Azerbaijani
Deputy Foreign Minister Araz Azimov's statement that "some progress
may be registered in the Karabakh negotiations process at the July
17 meeting between Presidents Ilham Aliyev and Robert Kocharian."
According to Soghomonian, there is no information, either, about the
possibility of any meeting between RA and Azerbaijani Presidents in
the days of the G8 summit to be held in St Petersburg.
