AZERBAIJAN ON RIGHT WAY IN CO-OP WITH NATO - NATO DEPUTY SEC-GEN

Baku's policy in the action plan under the NATO-Azerbaijan Individual
Partnership Program excites approval, Jean Furje, the Deputy Secretary
General, stated in Baku on 3 July, Trendreports.
According to Furje, it concerns both political and economic sphere
of cooperation. "I can't reveal the details of the work under the
program, while I'd note that Azerbaijan is on the right way," NATO
Secretary General. Furje called on the Azerbaijani authorities to
continue the successful work in this direction.
Touching upon the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh
the NATO Secretary General said that the alliance was attentively
observing over the situation in the world crisis regions. "However,
NATO does not take a direct part in the resolution of the
Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Other organizations are also involved in
the issue," Furje concluded.
