PRESIDENT ROBERT KOCHARYAN CONGRATULATES PEOPLE ON CONSTITUTION DAY

President Robert Kocharyan issued a congratulating address on the
occasion of the Constitution Day. The message says, in particular,
"Dear compatriots, I congratulate you on Constitution Day.
The major law of our country is the choice of our people and
the expression of its aims. It is extremely important on the way
of building a democratic, social and legal state. Our progress is
directly linked to the undistorted appliance of the Constitution.
Important Constitutional amendments were implemented in 2005. These
open new perspectives for multilateral development of our country
and people, provide for a more balanced activity of the branches of
power and strengthen the system of human rights defense.
I believe that the current Constitution of the Republic of Armenia
will serve our future generations for a long time.
