DIRTY WATER SUPPLIED IN CITY OF ARMAVIR, RESIDENTS WORRIED ABOUT SPREAD OF INTESTINAL DISEASE

ARMAVIR, JUNE 6, NOYAN TAPAN. "We are being expoloited", the residents,
who were standing in a queue to get drinking water from a source in
the center of Armavir, compalined on June 2. NT correspondent was
infomed in Armavir that the population of Armavir has been deprived of
drinking water for a week. On that day the patience of many residents
came to a point of exhaustion. The reason was that a few days ago
water, mainly dirty one, was supplied only to the center of the
city for an hour. Some Armavir residents told NT correspondent that
an intestinal disease has spread in the city as a result of it. In
response to an inquiry of Armavir citizens, the new director of the
Armavir antiepidemic center Kamsar Vatinian explained that he had
been recently appointed to this position and will speak about the
quality of water supplied later, after examining the issue. Technical
Director of Nor Akunk CJSC Andranik Engoyan gives the same answer
in case of any problem: "The company is doing construction work,
and the user must be patient."
