VARDAN OSKANYAN RECEIVED SECRETARY GENERAL OF BSEC INTERNATIONAL SECRETARIATE LEONIDAS CHRISANTHOPOULOS

RA Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanyan received today Secretary General
of the Standing International Secretariate of the Black Sea Economic
Cooperation Organization Leonidas Chrisanthopoulos, who is in Armenia
to participate in the session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the
Black Sea Economic Cooperation.
Minister Oskanyan congratulated the guests on appointment and assured
that the Armenian side is ready to promote the effectiveness of the
organization's activity.
The Secretary General presented the future programs of the organization
and the reforms to be implemented in Secretariat located in Istanbul.
The parties turned to some issues of the agenda of Foreign Ministers'
meeting and the summit of states and governments to be held next year
on the occassion of the 15th anniversary of the Black Sea Economic
Cooperation.
Speakng about BSCO Programs, Minister Oskanyan underlined that the
process of development of transport and energy infrastructures
is the guarantee of prosperity of teh region. In this regard,
importance was attached to reconstruction and operation of teh
existing infrastrucures.
