EX-FOREIGN MINISTER OF ARMENIA DOES NOT SEE ANYTHING EXTTRAORDINARY IN BRYZA'S STATEMENT

The recent statements of the US Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group
Mattew Bryza regarding the documents on the settlement of the Karabakh
conflict can be considered unprecedented, if we take into consideration
the sharp wording with which the parties have been trying to present
the discussed issues after every round of negotiations.

To remind, the US Co-Chair of the Minsk Group declared that the parties
were suggested a document envisaging withdrawal of Armenian forces
from Azerbaijani territories, establishment of economic and diplomatic
relations, assistance on the part of the international community,
deployment of peacekeeping forces and referendum on the status of
Nagorno-Karabakh. Yesterday official Yerevan reacted to this statement,
declaring that this was just part of the framework agreement.

Ex-Foreign Minister of Armenia Alexander Arzumanyan does not see
anything extraordinary in the Bryza's statement. According to him
he openly said what we were being told before with reference to
    anonymous sources.

Alexander Arzumanyan did not rule out that the story may repeat in
eight years and change of power may occur.

"There is a deep political crisis in the Republic today, which cannot
keep from influencing the foreign policy, and due to the internal
political situation Armenia is no more considered a political factor
in the region,, This is important also in the regard of resolution
of the Karabakh conflict," he said.

In his opinion, conduct of democratic elections is the guarantee of
resolution of the Karabakh issue and recognition of NKR.
